I don't think I can point to any one book that altered my thinking. It's been a subtle process for me. The accumulation of the books I've read throughout my life have definitely impacted me: I used many Kleenex in grade school at the end of Charlotte's Web and Where the Red Fern Grows; my love of Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen led to cheers when survivors emerged from Alive, I puzzled over Joyce's Ulysses and Faulkner's Sound & Fury; I was completely disenchanted with Robinson Crusoe however (I didn't even finish it) it DID NOT change my life; Neil Gaiman's Sandman series turned me on to the graphic novel medium--philosophy, literary allusion; do I have a favorite book? Um, no. That's impossible. You can check out my Shelfari or Library Thing account to get an idea of what I read...if I can find my account info...

The book Star Wars: Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons was a book that made me think twice before picking another Star Wars book. It was a really bad book which was surprising because usually I like Star Wars. But this time, it just wasn't that good of a book.

I think reading the Swiss Family Robinson was really joyful and funny and though it was a hard book, written in 1812,the book was still incredible.

The book tht changed my life was the Twilight saga. Before i read it, i really wanted to read it. It was really exciting, but towards the end, i didnt like it because it was depressing and sad. Another book tht changed my life was the Curcuit. i would have never known about the cruelity the migrant workers were treated. plus, t ended in a depressing, abrupt way.Overall, these books changed my life.

The book that changed my life was Three Cups of Tea, beacuase it taught me that people can live on much less than i have. It taught me that i am blessed for what i have going to a private catholic school, and people in pakistand being taught on dirt floor with no roof or walls. I was greatful for what i have and appreciate little things much more.=)

A book that changed my life is a book called Three Cups of Tea. It really showed me that if you are determined to do something it is always possibe. Even if it seems impossible. The book was really touching and I enjoyed reading it. It also shows people to be kind. You don't know what you have untill it's gone. Children in Pakistan don't have much, and it is a sad thing.

The books that really did not have any meaning to me were the Twilight Saga. At first they were ho-hum, but after a while they just didn't really bring any excitement to me. On the other hand, this year I read the Circuit. It was really interesting with all of the traveling and adventure in the book. Over all I don't really have a favorite book.

Life of Pie: an amazing book, pretty much the entire thing is a metaphore, but based on fact. Pi the youngest son of an Indian family went on a boat transporting animals to another country. Mostly about wwhat it was like surviving in a row boat at sea with a "tiger" (his mom) in the end things are explained clearly. the book was moving-ish but enjoyable

A book that changed my life was "Fox in Sox" by Dr. Seuss. This book changed my life because it was one of the first books that I tried to read as a first grader and kindergardener. I remember that I would always go to the back of the library during library time in those years. I also remember that I would always get "stuck" and not be able to read past a certain point. Because I read that book so many times, I remembered that I practically memorized the first part. This bood was one of the first books that I read, or attmpted to read. I really enjoyed it.

A book that impacted me was Fahrenheit 451, because it shows that without stopping to relax and think every once and a while, then we would never stop to think at all. Even though at times it was confusing, I really enjoyed this book.

The saddest book I've ever read is My Sister's Keeper, by Jodi Picoult. It's about a girl who is born to donate organs to her lukemiac sister. In the end, she ends up dying in a car crash. This book made me cry. I read to the middle, couldn't stand it anymore, and read the end. People who no me know I don't cry very easily.

A book that has changed my life was "My Sister's Keeper". This book made me think about how many children become diagnosed with cancer each day. I feel that I am lucky to be healthy and sad for those who aren't as fortunate. It was a sad book, and I hope scientists find a cure for cancer SOON! I strongly reccomend "My Sister's Keeper" to anyone.

I was never a real fan of reading, but when book reports came it was pretty hard for me. So I guess I never really read any book that was actually interesting. Only ONE book caught my attention, The Rescue. It was a very long time since I have read the book so I don't think I can summarize it very well.
