While this booktalk was a little bit long, I liked how the boy edited the film to switch between black and white and color to illustrate how color (or lack thereof) is used in the setting of The Giver.

The boy used a catchy introduction to grab the viewer's attention. I agree that it was too long.

A truly good book teaches me better than to read it. I must soon lay it down, and commence living on its hint. What I began by reading, I must finish by acting. ~Henry David Thoreau
