Seasonal Interpretive Ranger, Summer 2011

I had the privilege to work in the Columbia River Gorge Park Management Unit during the summer of 2011 as a Seasonal Interpretive Ranger. Under the tutelage of the illustrious Lisa Midlam, I interpreted invasive species for an AANR work party (I'll let you google the acronym), discussed water conservation during campground programs at Ainsworth State Park, and answered a myriad of questions at the gateway to the west end of The Gorge at none other than Vista House.

That was me!! See new post. I'm sorry to have missed a chance to shoot the breeze. Were you day hiking or backpacking? I"m trying to recall the various parties we passed. We were in horses-headed-for-the-barn-mode. Your side of the state is a marvel.

A truly good book teaches me better than to read it. I must soon lay it down, and commence living on its hint. What I began by reading, I must finish by acting. ~Henry David Thoreau
